Friday, July 2i'll draw a face a day
just so i can live
all these different lives
that aren't mine.
i'll draw happiness and anger
jealousy, envy
starstruck lovers in grasp
i'll draw a face a day.
with each face comes a life
so fresh and clean and new
in its own graphite home
nothingl ike this world.
i'll draw a face a day
and then when it's erased
i look up at the world
and see reality.
